Content Ingestion
Automatic Content Ingestion
Neurotic Media's proprietary “Ingestor” utility integrates with content providers’ systems to facilitate the automatic daily ingestion of thousands of products and product changes. This is done using SFTP push/pull technology and XML metadata feeds. We offer unmatched reliability in our ability to ingest and process automatic submissions on an ongoing basis.
Manual Content Ingestion
Manual content upload capability is available from any computer, anytime anywhere, using our do-it-yourself Admin tools. Clients can manually enter all metadata components, upload master files and images, transcode files when necessary, provision your content to specific stores on our system, and schedule it to go live on the appropriate day with the appropriate price.
Supported Online Content Types
• Music Downloads: Encrypted WMA (DRM 10), or in-the-clear MP3
• Video Downloads: Encrypted WMV (DRM 10), or in-the-clear m4v and mov
• Other Downloads: Zip, EXE, PDF, JPEG, GIF, and more can be bundled with any other format for sale and delivery
• Music and video Streaming: Aside from the streaming 30-second preview clips we provide in support of all a/v catalogs, we also support full-song audio and video streaming in the Windows Media formats (WMA and WMV). These can be encrypted (DRM) or in-the-clear.
Digital Rights Management
• Online DRM: Use our platform to encrypt Windows Media Audio and Video files using the Microsoft Windows Media DRM Encryption package (SDK 10). The DRM allows you to set usage rules for your products, such as CD-R burn rights and portable devices transfer rights, or expiration dates for promo files. Windows Media DRM works on all Windows PCs, and is supported by the vast majority of players and jukeboxes installed on PCs (Windows Media Player, Real Player, WinAmp, AOL Player, MusicMatch, Napster, etc.). Most portable devices and SmartPhones support the Microsoft DRM technology, and your secured catalogs can be “side-loaded” to Windows-empowered SmartPhones and portables and to non-Windows devices with proper plug-in support.
• Mobile DRM: When we deliver mobile products directly to the phone over-the-air (“OTA”), we can apply the OMA 1.0 forward-lock rights management component. Also, many SmartPhones can side-load products from a computer. In those instances, our Online DRM suite may be used during the online delivery process, and the side-loading rights can be set by the content owner for transfer to portable devices (using the Microsoft DRM mentioned earlier).
Supported Mobile Product Types
• We support Truetones, Wallpapers, Screensavers, and more, using multiple format permutations per file/product
• Mobile products can be uploaded in multiple file permutations (“pre-cooked” method)
• Conversely, you can upload a master file per mobile product, and use our Transcoding utilities to transcode your master into all necessary file format permutations
